Barrels of Hope

Meeting Practical Needs.
Sharing Lasting Hope.

One of the ways Clara Ionie Solomon expressed her love for others was through giving.

For many years, she gathered clothing, school supplies, household goods, personal care items, educational materials, and other necessities to send to family members and communities throughout the Caribbean. She believed that caring for people meant meeting both practical and spiritual needs.

Barrels of Hope continues that tradition.

Through this outreach initiative, Jar & Leaf Ministries seeks to collect, distribute, and deliver resources that help strengthen families and encourage communities.

What We Provide

Depending on available resources and community needs, Barrels of Hope may provide:

  • Clothing and shoes
  • School supplies
  • Books and educational materials
  • Hygiene products
  • Household essentials
  • Baby supplies
  • Medical and mobility aids
  • Ministry and devotional resources

Why We Do It

Jesus cared about people's spiritual needs, but He also cared about their physical needs.

We believe practical acts of compassion create opportunities to share God's love in tangible ways.

"Let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth."
— 1 John 3:18 (KJV)

Our Vision

We envision communities strengthened through generosity, faith, education, and practical support.

Every barrel represents more than supplies—it represents hope.
