Clara Ionie Solomon never dreamed of building a ministry around herself.

Instead, she spent her life quietly serving God and serving others.

She believed faith was more than something practiced in church—it was something lived every day through prayer, kindness, generosity, teaching, encouragement, and service.

Whether caring for family members, teaching children, mentoring others, helping aspiring entrepreneurs, supporting church programs, praying with those facing difficult circumstances, or sending supplies to loved ones across the Caribbean, Clara lived a life of practical faith.

Why Jar & Leaf?

The ministry's name reflects two biblical images that beautifully capture Clara's life and values.

The Jar

The jar represents God's provision and the ordinary people He uses to accomplish extraordinary things.

"But we have this treasure in earthen vessels..."

Like jars of clay, we may appear ordinary, but God places His treasure within us.

The Leaf

The leaf represents healing, growth, restoration, and hope.

"...the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations."

God's Word brings life and healing to individuals, families, and communities.

Continuing the Work

Jar & Leaf Ministries was established to continue the values Clara embodied:

While Clara's earthly work has ended, the seeds she planted continue to bear fruit through the lives she touched and the ministry inspired by her example.
